Coleman & Horowitt, LLP Assists Homeowners in Recovering Damages from Contractor

Bonnie J. Anderson recently obtained a favorable settlement in a construction dispute on behalf of a homeowner. In the action, a husband and wife hired a contractor to remodel their home. The contractor started the work, but never finished it. The homeowners then realized they were charged for work not performed. They thus refused to pay the contractor who, despite being owed nothing, recorded a mechanic's lien. The contractor then sued. A cross-complaint was then filed. At trial, the contractor settled and agreed to pay damages to the homeowners. Ms. Anderson can be reached at (559) 248-4820 or by e-mail at banderson@ch-law.com.
