CH Law Obtains Payment for Client in Construction Dispute

Darryl J. Horowitt recently obtained a favorable settlement in a Construction dispute. In the action, the firm's client, a general engineering contractor, was hired to install concrete. A dispute arose as to certain work that the general contractor believed was not properly performed. The contractor issued a back-charge and refused to pay anything to the client. Action was then brought to enforce the stock notice and for breach of contract. An earlier mediation was unsuccessful because the general contractor refused to pay anything. A settlement was thereafter reached which paid our client for the work performed as well as some of their interests and attorney's fees.
