Darryl J. Horowitt successfully resolved several consumer lawsuits. In the actions, our clients extended automobile loans that were originated by a dealer that is no longer in business. In the actions, the consumers claimed that the dealer defrauded them and asked for rescission and restitution as well as damages and attorney's fees. In order to try and efficiently resolve as many cases as possible, a mediation session was scheduled in which seven cases were brought to mediation at one time. The cases involved the same automobile dealers and dealt with similar issues. Darryl was able to settle two of the seven cases presented at mediation for significantly less than plaintiffs' demands. After mediation, Darryl was able to settle an additional case without further litigation.
